SHIFT makes phones that require 70% less resources in their production process, making them a far more sustainable alternative to ordinary smartphones. SHIFT phones are also modularly constructed smartphones that are produced under fair working conditions.  In 2018, the company won the German Federal Ecodesign Award in the category 'product'.

Industrial wastewaters, municipal sewage and stormwater are the source of hazardous substances and pollutants entering the Baltic Sea waters.
